is silva service catering's food fresh?:
We take great pride in making our own food and providing healthy and fresh food directly to our customers. The vast majority of our menu is prepared fresh daily specially to your order with the only items not cooked in our kitchens being several specialty items that we find better prepared by specialists - these are sourced from suppliers with a similar outlook to ours so freshness always comes first.
Where does silva service catering prepare it's menu?:
We have commercial kitchens in Mt Waverley which are registered as a food premises under Health Department guidelines. With all necessary Food Safety certification and oversight by Environmental Health Services we provide a catering service you can always rely upon. After several years in these kitchens we have outgrown it's capacity and are in the process of building our own purpose built kitchen in Clayton. With a kitchen three times the size of our current one, it's something we are very excited about. We are hoping to make the move during Spring of 2011.
What melbourne areas does silva service catering cater to?:
We cater to all areas of Melbourne, including the CBD and outer suburban areas. Some of our larger orders have taken us half way to the state borders so most suburbs are catered to. Your office is most likely in an area we can service.
does silva service catering provide catering equipment?:
Our staffed menus are fully inclusive of all catering equipment needed for our staff to serve you. We have established relationships with hire companies and can obtain any sort of hire equipment you may need for your guests or for your function that aren't included with our service. If you have any requests please let us know and we are more than happy to arrange a quote for you or to give you advice on what's available.
does silva service catering have delivery fees to melbourne or suburbs?:
For our corporate and office catering range we offer FREE delivery between the CBD and our kitchens which are located in Mt Waverley. We will soon be moving to Clayton and the same will apply. Generally speaking, anywhere inbetween or of a similar distance is free. Contact us to discuss your location as delivery fees may apply if outside our normal delivery range and routes.
Does silva service catering have a minimum order size?:
As our catering demand becomes larger our minimum order size will reduce. We currently have a minimum order of $250 for free CBD delivery, however this may reduce depending upon your location. Please contact us as smaller orders may simply attract a small delivery fee.
You will notice on some of the catering menus on this site that there are minimum amounts noted. Some of our packages are designed to cater to a certain amount of people mainly because of the quantity of food or specific items within the package. It generally works out cheaper to order these "set" lots of catering, but we can certainly make special orders for your office to suit your individual needs. Just ask at the time of ordering so we can assist you.
